| The Northern Lights, or Aurora Borealis, put on quite a show at night in Iceland. |
Just so you know it's not all work and no play on my trip to Iceland. My hosts have been keeping me very busy seeing many of the local points of interest. I've seen the Northern Lights, gone on a boat to go whale watching and even scaled one of the highest and northernmost peaks in Iceland.
The video below is from my trip to go whale watching. It was quite an adventure, so I wanted to share it with you.

Siglufjardarskard is the mountain pass between
Siglufjordur fjord and Fljot district, leading to Skagafjordur
fjord. Originally the pass was a steep mountain edge only accessible by
foot. Here I am above the clouds with my host family's daughter, Helga Bjorg Kjartansdottir.  |

| Akureyrarkirkja contains a notably large 3200-pipe organ, a unique interpretation of the crucifixion and a suspended ship hanging from the ceiling which reflects an old Nordic tradition of giving offerings for the protection of loved ones at sea. |
